This must be how God feels when He takes a picture
No religious or gender offense intended! I just needed a snappy post title.
Look what I just got!

This is the largest photo of mine I’ve ever had printed. The photo is a whopping 20″ x 30″, printed digitally on real B&W photo paper by Digital Silver Imaging. I’m really impressed with the quality and speedy turnaround time. It took only 4 days from the time I ordered online to having it in my hands, though I am fortunate to live 10 miles away from them. Although they offer custom framing, I chose to have it done at Michael’s. Even with their usual “60% off custom framing” sale , it wasn’t exactly inexpensive. Altogether, the total cost of the print and frame was about $200.

The picture itself is of the window display of Ferranti-Dege, a venerable camera store in Harvard Square which closed in 2006. At the time, I was taking a basic photography class at New England School of Photography. So I was using my first decent camera, a Canon AE-1, and Kodak Tri-X black and white film-developed by hand.
Yes, you heard right… I used to be a Canon user.
I am the slowest writer in the world! This is taking forever… and so, in closing, this photo has special meaning to me… the march of time something something, remember your roots, etc.
Now where do I hang this darn thing?
UPDATE:

Up on the studio wall… I likey!
Upside-down boy

It only looks like child abuse! Teddy loved having Mommy flip him upside down. This is from 2 summers ago, and the boy is no worse for wear. Our dog, Tracker, looks on.
Do the Teddy Shuffle!
Here’s my main man, Teddy. Always on the move!
